Well guess what. The files were already on a zip drive. I hooked it up
to a computer running osx, copied the files to the hard drive, and used
MacLink to translate all 2469 documents. I was kind of shocked because
I didnt think it would work with files that were so dang old, but it
did. It has a LOT of translator options for the destination, ie what
format do you want to end up with. It autodetected the source files
too. We never told maclink what format our current files were, all it
wanted to know was the destination format.

I was surprised. Thanks David and Warren for the advice. I knew someone
who wanted data off of a unidisk 5 1/4... havent talked to them in
awhile but if they call me I will refer them to you.
