I think the real way to go about it is to set up a tax-exempt foundation and use some starting sum to invest. Then, have one person who would run the thing take care of managing the stocks enough to get about $200/year to pay for the bandwidth. That way, the organization endures indefinitely, though the stock managers may come and go.
