The stuff you've done on the ][ is revolutionary, Michael.
If I wasn't 8838 km from my Apple //e, I would check it out!

I just downloaded the mp3s of the Crate samples, and they
sound great. But there's something nice and warm about
the sound of a real ]['s speaker. Well, one day I'll have a
good listen to RT.SYNTH. Promise!

One other note (!)--that tinny little speaker has come
to be associated with the characteristic Apple II sound,
but it is pretty bad. To really appreciate DAC522 sound
you need an external speaker or headphones.

RT.SYNTH actually allows switching between speaker output
and cassette port output, so there's always the option of
plugging in a cassette recorder and putting it in RECORD
and monitoring the amplified output.
