I have an LCIII that I used to use for moving files to/from PC and Apple II's, but I've never installed an emulator on it. How fast a Mac is needed for a good Catakig experience?I'm not a Mac guy (yet). We'll see how the Intel models go. ;-) Anyway, Colin's original Catakig site is still up: http://www.radix.net/~cklipsch/ctkgdoc/ In the Acknowledgements section, I guess _you_ are the Michael, right next to me, the Nick. ;-) The site looks a bit out of date (no surprise) because the Version History shows a 1.17, yet the Downloads page lists 1.16 as the latest.

In the overview he strongly recommends 30MHz+ 680x0s. You might just make the cut if your OS is compatible. I really hope you get a chance to see it, and perhaps offer a comment to Colin if you think he succeeded.
I'll give it a try--maybe after the holidays. -michael Music synthesis for 8-bit Apple II's! Home page: http://members.aol.com/MJMahon/ "The wastebasket is our most important design tool--and it is seriously underused."
