if it is some kinda standard internal board and software combo (ie chinnook
ap2c install disk or some such) might be interesting to look at or try to
figure out how it was done

The board is a unique design, with an onboard processor to convert from
smartport protocols to SCSI (or was it IDE?).  Somewhere packed away,
I have a non-functioning one that I've never got around to fixing.
