Re: Apple II preamplifier

For reasons that probably should remain a mystery, I'm trying to

very small amplifier to achieve this?

The "standard" way to do this was to plug into an ordinary cassette
recorder, then press record. This (usually) provides the recorded
signal at line level at the speaker output.

If you don't have a cassette recorder with mic input and spkr
output available, a small audio amplifier with a gain of 10x-100x
should work fine. These are normally sold as "microphone preamps".
A mixer with microphone input should do the job as well.

Of course, an amplifier could be constructed for this purpose
if you intend to use it a lot...it could even run on one of the
Apples' +5v supply (with some filtering).
