oh i highly plan on doing this, in fact i'm in the process of getting a
sourceforge project for it (what's really going on is that i didn't want
to until it was more or less finished, but since there's so much interest
and i can't get the disk controller to work i figured i'd enlist help
earlier)

This is basically what i think would be ideal for a debugger for the Apple
II, being able to single step (a disassembler for a code listing also,
this shouldn't be too difficult from what i've seen), breakpoints would be
grand, and also the ability to view any bit of ram/rom (SoftSwitches and
other IO ports would probably be left out and set to 0x00 or something to
keep the debugger from messing with the hardware) and possibly some info
about all the cards (creating a generic interface for the cards to provide
this would make it easy on the design)
and i think that would be all that anyone could want, basically everything
the apple II monitor has but in a more convieniant form (beyond the
hardware).
