Re: Apple ADT

If you don't have a blank floppy with DOS, you'll have to bootstrap DOS
first. all you have to do is send the hex codes for DOS at 300 baud
(default serial speed when A2 is booted up). A good tutorial of how to
do this here....

http://apple2.org.za/gswv/a2zine/Sel/dos33dmp.htm

then send ADT.dmp the same way once you've initialized the disk (INIT
HELLO). it'll save into a binary file called ADT which you can BRUN.
then send the entire ADT disk using ADT.

or you can mail me some blank disks and i'll set you up with software.

I did it this way from scratch on my IIe with an ssc card and disk2 card and drive. I have old pc 5.25" 360K floppies I use with the Apple. Sending with hyperterm worked very well (be careful to set it up as suggested by the docs). I had no Apple dos diskette in the first place, and not much experience with A2 either. Just follow the instructions.
