You bring up some good points Bill, and this is why more products aren't
being produced for vintage Apple machines. After thinking about the price
issue I've changed my mind, but most people are going to look only at the
price tag and compare it to the CFFA or other products. On the other hand,
you can't put a CFFA card into a Lisa. The X/Profile gives people a choice.
It is never a bad thing when a new piece of hardware is available. This
helps the vintage Apple community thrive. I imagine like most hardware
developers for vintage equipment, he isn't trying to make a profit but is
doing it because he wanted it for himself and other peope have asked for
some as well. That's how I got started with the replica 1. I'm sure they
will sell.
If I still had my Lisa, I would buy one. The internal widget drive failed
and my profile was taking forever to boot. Funny thing is those profiles
take so much juice it was cool to watch the lights dim a little when you
fired one up.
