No, that's not what you were told.  Apple does not equal Mac, any more
than Microsoft equals Office.  You initially claimed this (emphasis is
mine):

I told you that you were incorrect, that the first *Mac* with sound
input capability came out in 1990.  Your answer?

Now, you say the following:

Then you were using a IIgs, you weren't using a Mac.  They're different
product lines entirely.  Your confusion was of your own making.
