And just to be totally obnoxious, I was digitizing audio on my stock II+ long before the IIgs came out. Granted 1 bit audio and I had to use an amplifier (boom box) to get the line level...

That's right, I had a Boom box A2 peripheral!

Yep, I used my cassette recorder with a microphone to do the same
thing in early 1981.  I'm sure others did it sooner.

8k samples/second meant 1k bytes per second of recorded 1-bit
sound.  My first real application of it was a hex dump reader
so I could verify listings I had typed in from magazines.  ;-)
