I've already downloaded and installed MSYS-1.0.10.exe. In addition to
that I downloaded:

    mingw-runtime-3.9.tar.gz
    w32api-3.5.tar.gz
    binutils-2.15.91-20040904-1.tar.gz
    gcc-core-3.4.2-20040916-1.tar.gz

These were what the download page suggested be installed. The
download page also talks about their bundles but none of them are
listed on the download page.

However, it doesn't really tell you where these things need to be
installed so I just unpacked them all over my C:\msys\1.0\ directory.
I then created an fstab file that had "C:\msys /mingw" in it. While
typing this message I realized that that is the wrong directory so I
just changed it to "C:\msys\1.0 /mingw" and tried to make_win and it
compiled adb.c, clock.c, config.c and it looks like dis.c got compiled
but then I'm getting a line that says "perl make_inst c 8 instable.h >
8inst_c.h" but apparently I don't have perl installed or it couldn't
find it.

At least I'm making progress.
