Hello,
I have a 7Mhz TranswarpGS in my IIgs....
My IIgs is equiped with a 150Watte Buggie Power supply...
When I turn it on it always hangs durring GS OS startup on first try...
If I wait a few minutes and then do a keyboard reset it usually boots up
just fine... though it still crashes a fair ammount when running SIS.
The cable that goes in the processor socket on the main board seems to
plug in a bit loose... in fact, I seem to recall being able to pull it
out with my hands... no tools.
I suck at soldering and have never been successfull at desoldering(I
know how to do it, I just usually end up botching it)... but if I had
someone replace the processor socket on my IIgs with a better one would
it be likely to alleviate some of these errors? maybe run extra wiring
from the power socket to the slot being used for it?(and maybe some of
the other slots? most of them are filled in this system)
