I'm looking for a copy of the SCRG Switch-a-Slot manual. Specifically, there
is a section in it for troubleshooting cards that won't work right, and I'm
also trying to find out what the bank of 4 DIP switches inside the chassis
are for.
It's my understanding that the SaS is not recommended for use disk
controllers but that parallel, serial, sound and RAM cards generally are
supposed to be OK though.
I've also read, and have been told that the SaS worked better with an
accelerator card installed in the box (I assume it acted like a bus timing
repeater).
There isn't a lot out there on this... found this post archived from 1999.

I have my Switch-A-Slot in slot 1. I use it to switch between a
Workstation,
clock, serial and parallel cards. It works fine.
The instructions, which I have somewhere, talk about what you can do to make
cards work, and I think talk about what cards have problems. E-mail me and
I will conduct a search for the instructions.
