Since getting my ibook I see that Apple has made it so that I cannot partition a proDOS volume no longer. I could on the Performa. So this means that the max I can do with a Apple II is via a emulator such as the ones below. Am I correct?

Yes. Apple no longer supports formatting volumes using the ProDOS format.

Speaking of which, is there any way to deal with Mac OS 8.6 automatically adding resource forks to files on ProDOS volumes short of write protecting said volumes? The files are made unreadable in ProDOS 8, only GS/OS can read them.

I have a program called Reslin that can delete the resource fork, but it's a PITA to do that after sticking a disk in the 6500.
