I honestly don't recall what I'm referring to. I just recently pulled my IIGS out of mothballs where it's been for the last four years at my mother's house where i had to put it while going to college and then having cramped living conditions afterwards. As far as I can tell it's not loading a separate picture file, and I remember being told about patching the file. I just can't remember what the program was called, so I don't know what to search through in my disks, not all of which are labeled propelry. Heck, it might even still be on my hard drive, but sinec I can't remember the name, I can't use "find file".

It's called COLOR.CDev and it creates a Control Panel in your drop down
menu called Desk Color. If you can't find it, I can email it to you.

I found it on the hard drive, though both it and the color.init file are marked as "inactive" in the 'Get Info' window. I had a bunch of DAs and INITs that I rarely used still installed that are inactive, and used either FONT/DA Installer or IR to activate when needed. Also, from what the docs say, it seems that shift booting would give me the standard blue desktop, which is not the case. I also tried removing them from their proper locations, and i still get the patched desktop.

I don't see anything that permently changes the desktop pattern.
