Yeah, I don't know what's causing it. I always *assumed* it was a
failing drive since I've heard of so many Focus drives, including my
own, go belly up.

I think it's really really hard to buy old drives with unknown
histories and sell them with a new card - but anyway.

I"ll try some of the tricks. Cleaning the edge connecters is easy.

Meanwhile I'll look around for drives.

I googled the answers to the auto boot disk. In 'Startup.bas' I put:
'10 call -1370' . However, sigh, it cycled all night and no go.
