There are inexpensive adapters that will connect 68-pin (wide SCSI) and
80-pin (SCA) drives to narrow SCSI adapters. I use one with an 80-pin 4.3GB
Seagate Barracuda plugged into my GS. At this point, I suspect you might be
better off following this approach; it'd let you use a new drive instead of
having to take a chance on a used drive.
