I know what you mean--it's been keeping me busy for a few weeks! ;-)
Haven't looked at the software yet, but I'm guessing it wouldn't be too
hard to adapt the sequencer to work with a single, non-networked
Apple... obviously with less dramatic results, but until either a) I
learn to solder proficiently or b) Bill Garber finishes his NadaNet
adaptor design*, I won't have an Applecrate to play with.
The Applesoft "loader", CRATE.SYNTH, is currently written to load
up a bunch of AppleCrate machines, but it shouldn't be too hard to
make it load music, voices, and SYNTH into its own machine. (But it
will require some changes--particularly since all the voices assume
that SYNTH runs at $800.)
