We can live to use Integer BASIC without using Applesoft BASIC. It
means that Integer BASIC does not use $D000 through $DFFF. Apple II's
motherboard is limited to 8 slots which they use $C100 through $C7FF. If we
hack to modify Apple II's motherboard to expand from 8 slots to 16 slots.
Extra 8 slots would use $D000 through $D7FF.
If it works according to my desire by doing clever hacker, I doubt that
softswitch may be modified. It is like I/O control from $C080 through $C08F
such as I/O Disk. It would use LDX #$60 and LDA $C080,X which they map to
$C090 through $C0FF so they cannot be remapped to $D000 through $D0FF. They
have to add new softswitch from $D080 through $D08F which they can be
remapped to $D090 through $D0FF.
What do you think? It might be a problem with compatibility issue such
as 16K RAM switch.
