Re: Uther card works on Apple IIplus with contiki
My board is a rev D and the Synertek 6502 has a date code of 8223. The date
of the IIplus board won't matter as much as the revision. It maybe a
revision issue, who knows. I do know that prodos needs a good 16K ram card
or it will have problems. Also, with Contiki I can only have 1 application
running at a time, like the web browser. If it trys to goto screen saver it
pops up with out of memory error. I don't believe it is an issue where too
many cards cause problems, 6 of my 8 slots are used:
slot0 32K Saturn RAM card
slot1 not used
slot2 SSC
slot3 Disk II controller for SVD
slot4 Uther card
slot5 not used
slot6 Disk II controller for 2 disk II drives
slot7 CFFA card with 16M San Disk running Dos Master with 100 140K
partitions for images.
I have several more IIplus computers but really don't have the time to pull
them out and start running tests. If you want internet on your IIplus, the
Uther card is the way to go. Pretty painless process.
