The original Twilight II was a commercial product sold by Digisoft
Innovations.  Jim Maricondo was starting to work on an update (1995
time frame) when he handed the project over to Nathan Mates.  Nathan
made many improvements in Twilight II and received permission to
release it as beta software limited to Delphi A2 members.  The catch
was you needed to be a $35 / year member to have access to the file
library where he uploaded it.  This was in the 1998 time frame.  The
only other place it was available was via Juiced.GS that was given
permission to distribute it on their disk of the month set.

Anyhow, it was just after that that Nathan had his infamous meltdown
and left the Apple II world.  The new Twilight II never progressed
beyond this restricted distribution but was otherwise pretty much done.
 Today the only places you can get the old beta is Syndicomm Online's
file library (which was running Delphi A2 at the time and the files
were moved there) and Juiced.GS's Friends For Life CD also available
from Syndicomm in their online store.

The Friends For Life CD is $30 or a year membership to Syndicomm
Online, which among other things gives you access to their huge file
library, costs $35.
