I have a Lan-Tech Network setup coming via u.s. mail and need some
info..here is the info from the Seller so far..
-----
The Lan-Tech network connects up to 255 Apples IIs to one Apple II and its
disks or hard drives. This works on both Apple IIe's and IIGSs running
Prodos. The Apple II, acting as the file server, needs at least 1 meg ram.
The transfer rate is 1 meg compared Appletalks 256k....Lan-Tech designed the
network for schools. This system.....had over 50,000 accounts on 2 20 meg
Sider hard drives.
Included are: Original manual, 1 file server card, 8 expansion
(network)cards, 10 satellite (printer) cards and cables.
-----
software was also included...
Anyone else have one of these beasts?....need some info..on others who may
have one of these up
anyway..i'll see if i can get the beast up ..hopefully the setup software
still works...i have enough siders that is for sure..
i also have a compulynx school based network..anyone have one of these too?
(i suppose i should also look at the nananet stuff also...just for fun.....)
anyway...if someone has (not sure what is written on the controller
card/cards etc) the various cards but no manual or software...assuming
the stuff i get works...i maybe can shoot it your way..not sure ..but i
assume the cards have something like "lantech" printed on them...i'll post
that info when i get them...
more stuff...jeez...
