Pretty much everything runs faster. Not so great for games unless you're a
caffeine-induced twitch-o-matic gamer with lightining reflexes... but if
you've got a huge Appleworks spreadsheet or database, your calc/sort times
are much more tolerable. A few programs don't like accelerators (very few).

Another example, if you have an Uthercard, an accelerator can increase I/O.
