Will Inform games (.z5) work on the Apple II? The reason I ask is because someone has just ported my HLA Adventure game to .z5 format (playable on Winfrotz). Paul
Not well.My experience... Smaller games work, kindasorta. There's all sorts of bugs in the official Z5 interpreter for the //e and //c. Beyond Zork works, but I don't think any other Z5 games really do.
My own Z5 games...Omega Days had a broken title screen and hints menu, plus minor cosmetic flaws in the status bar.
After that, I wrote Warp, and it took the limitations of the Z5 interpreter into consideration. It works fine on the Apple //e and //c but not optimally.
Works great on the C64 and C128 though. \:D/ -uso.
