Hi all,
Ok, so I'm going to try using a Laser 128ex for my dedicated Apple II
"Elite" game system. A few questions about the Laser 128ex:
1) Is there anyway to force the Laser 128ex to always boot at 2.5MHz? I'd
like to avoid having to hold down the 2 when starting up the system.
2) On the back there is a STD kbd / Alt kbd switch. What does this do?
3) has anyone hacked a "remote" keyboard onto a laser 128ex? For example,
say I wanted to hook up a IIgs keyboard to it instead? Are there any
"remote" keyboard solutions for the Apple II that would work with this
system?
4) Is there a manual for this system online somewhere, or does someone have
it scanned and could send me a copy?
5) For now I'm going to try just booting "Elite" from the 5.25" floppy and
see how fast that is. Could some kind soul make a copy of the game from Ian
Bell's Elite webpage and send me it on a 5.25" disk? I have a paypal
account :-)
Thanks to all on this group; you've been a great help and resource!
