I wondered that myself.  I doubt they were in a custom box like the Apple
II came in, though they may have been shipped in a generic cardboard box.
Or maybe not, just in an anti-static bag in a box with others, to the
dealer who sold them one by one.  It's not like it was a mass produced
item.
