Cleveland Ohio had a Freenet as well. I think it was one of the biggest ones in the country at the time. I never used it, so I don't have any specifics, but it was essentially a poormans way of geting on the internet. This was before the bandwith issues that the web brought on. People used it for telnet, ftp, irc, and usnet access mainly. - Paul
