When I decided to buy an Apple II I was still living with my parents
and nobody understood why I would want one (this was 1981). After I
got it and I was able to get some software, it was hard to keep my
family off the machine (my dad included) until the early hours of the
morning almost every day.
Some favorites:
RPG: Wizadry, Ultima's I ->IV
Aracade: Galaxian, Gobbler, Apple Panic, Lode Runner,
Sabotage, (many others)
Simulation: SSI Baseball
My brothers and I played SSI baseball so much that we wore out my
original disk. I spent a lot of time creating the data for historic
teams so we could match the 1984 Montreal Expos (I live in Montreal)
against the 1927 New York Yankees. When I finally got a hard disk this
was one of the first games I transfered thanks to Andy McFadden's
ProDOS compatable version of RDOS.
