Re: Un/Newbie Questions
RCA output doesn't display IIgs video modes correctly,
but you should get IIe graphics fine...
RAM chips: type in the number on the top of one of
your chips at www.digikey.com
to make a DSK.GZ into bootable, you need a way
to get the file to your IIgs. First, turn it into DSK
by removing the GZ... GZ means zipped. Unzip
the file on your PC. Now it is just DSK
You use a serial cable between your PC and your
IIgs, run transfer software on both computers.
Once the DSK file is on a IIgs disk, you can
use DSK2FILE program or ASIMOV program
to transfer that file to a disk.
there is a program called ADT that makes
things easy. You run ADT on IIgs and PC,
have a blank disk in your IIgs drive, and
it transfers/converts to DISK in one step.
AMDOS is for using dos3.3 with 3.5 disks,
won't help you with your transfer.
MIDI: You need a MIDI card and sequencer
software. cards: Passport, AE audio
animator. THere are several others.
sequencers: synthlab, PIware Musicwriter,
several others.
