Re: KFest 2005

For those of you who have never attended Kfest, I must tell you that
its an experience that you will not regret. The multiple days full of
conferences is worth the price alone. Sessions range from programming
topics, Apple II hardware, software use, networking, emulators, and
detailed coverage of whatever new products are released this year.
(This is the premiere event where new stuff is introduced to the
market, both hardware and software) Most new products, and likewise a
lot of existing products, sold at Kfest are priced at a substantial
discount to attendees only.

If cost is an issue, let it be known that none of the event organizers
profit a dime from this event, all of your money goes towards the
event. Your money goes a long way for a weeks worth of fun and most
meals are included. Sessions arn't everything, evenings are full of
good times, socializing and entertainment. Get to know some Apple II
legends, see progammers and developers in action, and duke it out with
others playing your favoite Apple II games. Or sit back and relax
while chatting face to face with the online personalities that you've
known for years (or have just met).

This is the event that has been attended by the likes of the ID
software founders (of DOOM fame), by legendary programmers such as
Silus Warner (Casltle Wolfenstein) and Bill Hinemann (countless titles
from Interplay, including Battle Chess) and 2 years ago, by the Woz
himself- Steve Wozniak. Also, if you've never seen a ROM 4 GS, this is
the only place that the general public can see one in person among
other Apple II hardware that "never existed."

Remember, earlybird pricing ends May 31st.
