Re: Decillionix DX-1

I have a Canadian Clone of the DX card by Exceltronix, Just called "
ADA-The Sound Sampler," It has a Max Sample Rate of 60K+ So the Doc's
say.. Really only controlled by your coding loop. I wrote a very small
Scope app/patch for Dos 3.3 that gave you a Scope from dos for the disk
that came with the sound card so you could always drop into the monitor
and see what's hitting your sampler I did end up adding the patch to all
my dos 3.3 disks, only something like 30 or 40 bytes long.
I still have a .BXY file of the Original Disk. It was a DX knock-off, so
I would think that the software should work with the Real DX. Has a
Sample Seqencer and a Keyboard Piano thing that was cool, also supported
external sync and trigger.
Did also write a small piece of code to use it with the Saturn 128k Card
to create a 16-voice sample for some lingustic stuff I was into.
I do recall also just having to change a few bytes of code to have it
work with the out-put going to SAM (Software-Automated-Mouth) DAC But no
sampler ability in SAM. I do Have all the Source for the Exceltronix
Version. Also have the Manual as well, was to be my next project to "The
Apple Community" after I finish the "Norpak Telidon Pakage" for the
Apple II's! (Canadian version of the French Phone Messaging System from
the early Eighties, Graphics Pakage with 6809b Card plus software, you
could create images on the II's and then have those images broadcast
over a TV network/cable to show up on a TV. Also has a small
message-board system. Stll have a few more months before that's done.
Trouble dealing with some Column's in the Documentation , then have to
Copy the Rom's keep's getting shelved!

regards
Jim
