Minor correction.  A2Central.com is a free web site for news and
information about the Apple II.  You do not need a subscription to use
this site.  You can sign up for a free membership on that site so that
you can make more use out of some of the functions there but you don't
need to.

However, Syndicomm.com is an online service that has a $35 US per year
membership with message and file areas and chat rooms for a bunch of
different topics including the Apple II.  Once you have a membership
here you can participate either by telnetting there or using the web
based interface.
