Re: IIGS-to-PC serial adapter -- any takers?
There are several reasons for me to build a short adapter like this:
1. I find it very useful to run a Cat-5e cable between the PC and the
IIGS, especially if they need to communicate over long distances.
Since they don't make any adapter kits that convert Mini-DIN-8 to
RJ-45, I have to settle with DB-9.
2. I wanted a compact solution, and having a cable connected to another
cable gets in the way, especially with cats in the room that love to
chew on cable ends they find on the floor.
3. I like building cables; I suppose I can be considered a cabling
geek. :)
