The Apple II slot is an original design by Steve Wozniak.
It existed before even the 8-bit ISA slot. There is some
documentation about it on the internet in the FAQs in
Rubywand's web site. You can find it in the newsgroups
by scrolling down and there are links, and also actual
text you can capture right there in the many posts that
he updates once a month.
