Many years ago I used to use the Apple ][e available at my local
library. They had a kids game there that I never played, but often
booted up to listen to the cool music on the startup screen. It
played muliple notes at once and used lots of arpeggiation tricks. It
sounded like the most advanced music I ever heard played on the
standard 1-bit Apple speaker.
Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of this game, or the object
of the game since I never really played it. I think it was an
educational adventure game that used hires graphics and dithering to
blend colors, and I think the disks came in a plastic case of the
style like Disney VHS cases that I can only describe as "puffy".
Is this too vague, or does anyone have some ideas that may spark
my memory? I looked at the names of all the games available at
the various archive sites, and nothing jumped out at me.
