Re: Extended 80 Column Molex pinouts
Hi Rich,
If this can help others, I used a PC-MIDI/Joystick cable to replace the
missing molex connector from the 80Col./RGB Apple II card, it has the same
pinouts and connections as the db-15 used by Apple Monitors.
Unfortunately my card did not to work anyway, I then traced the outputs
using an oscilloscope and found that only the sync signal was correctly
output but not any of the three RGB signals, which all remain at low level.
I Then replaced the bunch of TTLs on the card, (except for the PAL,
obviously) and it still doesn't work.
I think that the PAL itself being broken, do you think that with an
identical one I could succeed in copying it to a new unburned PAL16L8 ? Any
hint about the PAL programmer to use ?
I know that seems quite an idiot thing to do, trying to restore a 1980 card,
but I spent so much time in it that this has become a challenge between me
and this card !
