Have you ever used ADT to make an image of a faulty disk? Mother of Gawd,
that's an awful noise. It makes that terrible grinding noise (3 times each)
everytime it can't read a point on the disk, so if a disk has three
unreadable places in a row, you get nine of those obnoxious grinds in a
row. It'll clear a room faster than a fire alarm klaxon.
