standard PC drive.  Too bad many of those disks seem to have bad

I wouldn't assume that all those bad sectors are "really there".

Disk2FDI reads Apple disks at a different speed and in a different
way than an Apple II reads them.  Before assuming that you have
recovered all the data you can, try them on a real Apple II with
at least two different (clean) drives.
