Hi people, I have an Apple II+ with a monitor that has a strange problem. The screen is horizontally shifted to the left. There are dials for vertical shift and vertical and horizontal hold, but none for horizontal shift. Can anyone hazard a guess as to what I can do about this to center the screen? Is there software code? Is this a common problem? As far as I can tell it's an original Apple monitor. Don't know the model offhand (it's at home and I'm at work). Any suggestions appreciated.
The horizontal hold control actually offers some control over horizontal phase (position), but if the raster is actually displaced to the left, then you need to adjust the centering magnets that are on the back side of the deflection yoke. An interesting question is what caused the displacement in the first place... -michael New Applesoft BASIC interface for NadaNet networking! Home page: http://members.aol.com/MJMahon/
