Hi everybody,
just wanted to let you know that I managed to sqeeze my
ROM3GS, RAM4GS, Hi-Speed SCSI-Card, Erphi Controller &
Shugart Floppy, 200MB Syquest Drive, CD Drive, 260MB HD
and 3,5" Floppy and Z80 card into said Umax Aegis Mac
Clone Case.
And while there are a few kludges and rough edges
(literally and metaphorically) I'm rather pleased with
the outcome.
The GS and this computer case were really made for each
other.
The main advantages of this setup as I see them are:
- I can take my GS and it's peripherals out in one go -
no more lego bricks for disk drives and scsi peripherals
- I only need one power cord now where I needed up to
four beforehand (d2 external scsi cases)
- The whole thing is rather quiet now even though I have
enabled the internal fan (runs off the fan connector on
the GS mainboard).
Thanks for listening!
Robert
