All,
I have several 5.25" (DOS 3.3) disks that I have kept for the last 20
years, when my first computer was a brand new Apple //e. Those disks
contain some of my first experiences writing programs, and I would love
to be able to retrieve those disks as .dsk images and poke around with
my emulator.
I very recently learned that there is a //e in the lab where I work,
and so was able to confirm that at least some of those disks still
work. However, it is not possible in that environment to roll a PC up
next to the //e and do a file transfer.
So I am now in the tantalizing position of knowing that those disks are
accessible, but not having the means to get at them.
I have noticed in several (albeit old) postings in this group offers
from people with the necessary hardware to do file transfers such as
this for a fee. If any of you are so willing, please let me know. (Is
it as simple as mailing the disks and a fee in return for emailed .dsk
images?)
Thanks in advance,
Eric Farmer
