What's the best way to clean these up? I was thikning about hitting the trouble spots with some tuner cleaner (do they even still ~sell~ tuner cleaner? I mean, who has a mechanical tuner on their tv anymore?) or CRC, but I didn't know if there was a product better targeted to this problem or not.I usually run my PCBs through the dishwasher (hot water, no soap) after I solder them up - works fine. For old cards, I'd do my best to locate some R-22 / trichlor - it works great.
I agree, this is an excellent procedure (assuming there are no open cavity parts, like pots). I remember in industry we had a freon "dishwasher" the line used to clean up flux residues--what a wonderful and painless process! -michael New Applesoft BASIC interface for NadaNet networking!
