Yes, Apple II Oasis has a Disk Server program that allows you to make
your Windows based PC act as a disk drive for your real Apple II.  I'm
not sure what kind of speed you can get from this using the joystick
port but doing it that way leaves any serial card you have installed
free to be used by any programs that you are running from a disk image
on your PC.
