: Hi All,
:
: What gives with an error $27 on a cold boot with a IIgs
: running GS OS system 6.0.1 Is this the dreaded adb
: temp range problem? It only does it when it boot from
: a very cold machine, i.e. been sitting off for 2+ hours.
:
: When it's warm, no problem at all with a restart, or a
: "bye" command or even switching power off then on.
:
: I checked the FAQ and it shows a generic I/O error
: for $27, is there anything else I should look to trouble-
: shoot for it?
Error $27 is a read error, obviously, and it might help to
know what it is you're booting from, as in, floppy, CFFA,
SCSI, etc........ I'd suggest unplugging everything and then
plugging them back in. Sometimes a single bad connection
can cause this condition. I had a 5.25" floppy drive doing
the same thing. I replaced the cable and all is well.
