Re: A look at the C-One (Commodore One) reconfigurable computer

Please don't leave in a huff. Sadly, the state of spam abuse lately has made cross-posting a liability. I inferred you were just trying to spread the word. The Yahoo group had moderation turned on recently, due to the flame wars erupting on it.

To stay on topic, it seems there are folks looking into a Apple II (not sure what variant) option, but I don't know of any Atari or Sinclair work. Both should be doable. I know the designer is an Atari fan (and was approached to do the Flashback, but InfoGrames (or whatever their name is) didn;t think she could pull it off. She was interested in an Atari version of the idea that became the C64DTV (Commodore 64 30-in-1 Joystick unit). The opportunity may have passed though, as she's in demand now, and redoing a 80's platform in FPGA costs a lot if you count all the hours up. The DTV happened mainly because the core had mostly been developed in "hobby time", which didn't have to be paid for by the manufacturers. The Apple line was elegant in it's simplicity, but the Atari custom ICs I would assume are not trivial to re-implement.
