The only solution that I can think of is to purchase a USB-to-serial
converter, which will give you a DB9 serial port (and sometimes an
8-pin mini-DIN port as well). Here's one:

Keep in mind that PC applications that communicate with the serial port
using IRQ 3 and 4 will not work with the converter. (At least, that's
what I heard anyway...)
