Difficulty of the project. There might be lingering patent issues, but
most of the relevant patents were probably held by the vendors which
went under once the GS accelerator market dried up.
The best acceleration technique I know is an emulator running on a
modern machine, which is capable of running much faster (at peak
performance) than the IIgs motherboard & RAM is likely to be capable of.
