Yes and no... There are a few issues. 1) The GS can go faster than 56K
with an accelerator card installed. 2) Appropriate hardware may or may
not be available. Others should give more information about this. 3) The
software may or may not be there yet. Again, others should address this.
Alternatively the user can connect their Apple// to another machine which
does have the capability of connecting to the net. From there the user
can use the fast machine to do the hard work and the Apple can be used as
a terminal. For a fast machine I would suggest a Mac or a *NIX box. Both
are relatively easy to set up and get running. Windows users say it is
easy on those machines as well, but running a Linux box and having done
tech support for both Mac and Windows... I'd rather run OS X (Mac) or some
form of *NIX on a PC for this sort of thing.
