Hre's me whining again - but this simply shows what is so frustrating.
Here's an old 8-bit computer; that I started with & learned so much
on/with - and I can't use it to 'chat' with; about it! All the choices
mentioned (& there may be others I'm not aware of) require using anything
BUT an Apple 2, to do it. Maybe it just cannot do it. That's not
un-expected - it is an old technology. It just would be nice it it were
possible to use an A2 system and native software - to connect to and chat
with, other Apple 2 afficionados. I can dream, can't I? :->

IRC's quite a simple protocol. I wrote a client in maybe half an hour in VB. Someone who really knows how to code network software for the ][ might be able to write an IRC client that runs natively.
